Explore the shops and restaurants which are less than a 5 minute walk from the marina, stock up with your provisions before boarding your cruiser by shopping at the local big supermarket and if you want extra fishing equipment call to Ray at the Old Forge, he will provide great fishing advice and ideal spots. No license is required for the Shannon but it is here you can purchase the license for the River Suck and canals. Have a pint of the local beer, Bo Bristle and if you are spending the night sample the fine cuisine in Flynn’s Bar & Restaurant or The Brosna Lodge or if you want fish & chips call to the Van House for some tasty dishes just at the marina.
